Welcome to Ning

A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold is as pictures of silver.(Prov.25:11) It is so important to speak the right words to people at the right time to produce the right results. When you think of apples of gold in pictures of silver, then you are thinking of wealth and excellence. When we speak wisdom into the lives of others we are making them wealthy. Therefore we must seek God for He is the source of all wisdom and He will give us just the right words needed at the right time.

  • #But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry. 2 Timothy 4:5 Be fruitful

The Greek word for evangelist is Euaggelistes, meaning a proclaimer of the good news of redemption through Jesus Christ. Paul is giving us his swan song, and he is admonishing the young minister Timothy, how perilous the times will be, and to remain fruitful. Preach the word, be instant in season, out of season, reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine. For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.

Be fruitful, for I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand. I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day, and not to me only, but all them also that love His appearing. What inspiration for us to fight the good fight, run the race, and finish the course. We are in the school of hard knocks, my mother always told me, so we must endure affliction. Paul had the thorn in the flesh, and he prayed three times for the Lord to take it away, but Jesus said My grace is sufficient, my strength is made perfect in weakness.

Be fruitful and follow the Lord, who shall soon appear, and will give us that crown of righteousness when we love His appearing. It is my prayer that we watch in all things, endure afflictions, and do the work of an evangelist. I thank the Lord that this Blog is going all over the world, spreading the good news of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Even so, come quickly, Maranatha!!!

  • #And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers, lest I come and smite the earth with a curse. Malachi 4:6     Time for the children to turn their hearts to their fathers.

The Hebrew word for "curse" is Cherem, meaning dedicated things that should have been utterly destroyed. And ye shall tread down the wicked; for they shall be ashes under the soles of your feet in the day that I shall do this, saith the LORD of hosts.  Remember ye the law of Moses my servant, which I commanded unto him in Horeb for all Israel, with the statutes and judgments. Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the LORD.

Time for the children to turn their hearts to their fathers. There is a stir in the land over the Ten Commandments being posted in the schools, and well it should be. America is a Christian nation, and on our money, we say 'In God We Trust.' This is not against the separation of Church and State, for they are hand in hand. The home is under attack because fathers are absent from the family, and children need their fathers. The fifth Commandment comes with a promise to love your father and mother all the days of your life, and it will be well with thee. This is the key to blessing and restoring the hearts of the children to return to their fathers. I pray that a revival will come in the land and the hearts of the fathers will turn to their children, and the heart of the children will turn to their father, lest God smite the land with a curse. God is a merciful Father, and He forgives those who love Him and keep His commandments.

Time for the children to turn their hearts to their fathers, so they can bring about a revival in the land. God is not willing that any would perish but that all would come to repentance. We are living in the days of Elijah, and he is calling us to return unto the LORD of hosts, before the dreadful Day of the Lord comes. I pray for my children and look for the day when they will return to me as their father. Our Heavenly Father loves us with an everlasting love, and He wants us to love one another the same way. We will only be able to tread down the wicked under the soles of our feet, until we keep His commandments.

  • #Let the husband render unto the wife due benevolence, and likewise also the wife unto the husband. 1 Corinthians 7:3 Do your conjugal duty

The Greek word for benevolence is Eunoia, meaning kindness in marital duty and goodwill. Now concerning the things whereof ye wrote unto me, it is good for a man not to touch a woman. Nevertheless, to avoid fornication, let every man have his own wife, and let every woman have her own husband. The wife hath not power of her own body, but the husband, and likewise also the husband hath not power of his own body, but the wife. Defraud ye not one another, except it be with consent for a time, that ye may give yourselves to fasting and prayer; and come together again, that Satan tempt you not for your incontinency. But I speak this by permission, and not of commandment.

Paul is not commanding this, but by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, he is advising that this be done in marriage. Do your conjugal duty and fulfill your vows to have and to hold, in richer, and poorer, for better or for worse. God does not take vows lightly, and He holds us responsible in marriage to keep our vows until death parts us. Prayer and fasting are the only times that you should come apart, and only for a season, so the Devil will not tempt you, because of your lack of self-control. Once this is done, come together again and do your conjugal duty. Do not make excuses for why you cannot do your conjugal duties. If you have a physical impairment, then that is a reasonable time not to do them. Marriage is honorable in all, and the bed undefiled, but fornicators and adulterers will be judged. So let each spouse render due benevolence each to the other, and the marriage bed will be holy.

  • Happy Yom Kipper! Pray for the peace of Jerusalem they shall prosper who do so.

  • #And I heard as it were the voice of a great multitude, and as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of mighty thunderings, saying, Alleluia: for the Lord God omnipotent reigneth. Revelation 19:6  Praise God, for His voice is of a great multitude

The Greek word for Alleluia is Allelouia, meaning praise ye Jah of Hebrew origin, and an adoring exclamation. John is on the isle of Patmos receiving the Revelation of the Lord God omnipotent. And again they said, Alleluia. And her smoke rose up forever and ever. And the four and twenty elders and the four beasts fell down and worshipped God that sat on the throne, saying Amen; Alleluia. And a voice came out of the throne, saying Praise our God, all ye his servants and ye that fear Him, both small and great. Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honor to Him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and His wife hath made herself ready. And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of the saints. And He said unto me, Write Blessed are they which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb. And He saith unto me, These are the true sayings of God.

Praise God, for His voice is of a great multitude. In heaven, the church is the bride of Christ, and the marriage of the Lamb has come. She made herself ready, and it was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white, which is the righteousness of the saints. We will praise the Lord God forever and listen to His voice, singing Alleluia. Get your singing voices ready because Jehovah God is worthy to be praised. For His voice is of a great multitude, and we will be in awe listening to His voice. May the Lord bless His people as we wait for that great day that is coming.

  • #That they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children. Titus 2:4 Let the Older women teach the younger to love their husbands.

The Greek word for love is Philandros, meaning fond of man, i.e., affectionate as a wife. But speak thou the things which become sound doctrine: That the aged men be sober, grave, temperate, sound in faith, in charity, in patience. The aged women likewise, that they be in behavior as becometh holiness,  not false accusers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things. To be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed. Young men likewise exhort to be sober-minded in all things, showing thyself a pattern of good works: in doctrine showing uncorruptness, gravity, and sincerity.

Let the Older women teach the younger to love their husbands. Paul is telling Titus to preach to the older women so they can be models to the younger women to be sober, to love their husbands, and to love their children. Our world desperately needs this today, as the divorce rate would be much lower if this were being taught more. Too many wives want to leave their husbands rather than love them, due to the influence of the liberation movement today. If you will not love your husband, then do not marry him. Husbands love your wives as Christ loves the Church and gave Himself for her. I pray that the Government shutdown will not last long and that peace can come to our nation.

  • #Some indeed preach Christ even of envy and strife; and some also of good will: Philippians 1:15  Praise God Christ is being preached.

The Greek word for envy is Phthonos, meaning of ill will, i.e., jealousy. The Greek word for strife is Eris, meaning a quarrel or contention and variance. But I would ye should understand, brethren, that the things which happened unto me have fallen out rather unto the furtherance of the gospel; so that my bonds in Christ are manifest in all the palace, and in all other places. And many of the brethren in the Lord, waxing confident by my bonds, are much more bold to speak the word without fear. The one preach Christ of contention, not sincerely, supposing to add affliction to my bonds: But the other of love, knowing that I am set for the defense of the gospel. What then?

notwithstanding, every way, whether in pretence or in truth, Christ is preached; and I therein do rejoice, yea, and will rejoice. Praise God Christ is being preached, and souls are being saved and added into the kingdom. Give thanks to God that all things work together for good to those who love the Lord and are called according to His purpose (Romans 8:28). Paul was a southerner because of the colloquialism he used. Scammers beware, Jesus saves to the uttermost

  • #To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory: Colossians 1:27    Let us magnify the Lord together

The Greek word for hope is Elpis, meaning expectation or to anticipate, usually with pleasure.  Who now rejoice in my sufferings for you, and fill up that which is behind of the afflictions of Christ in my flesh for His body's sake, which is the church: Whereof I am made a minister, according to the dispensation of God which is given to me for you, to fulfill the word of God; Even the mystery which hath been hidden from ages and from generations, but now is manifest to His saints: Whom we preach, warning every man, and teaching every man in all wisdom; that we may present every oneself perfect in Christ Jesus: Whereunto I also labor, striving according to His working which worketh in me mightily.

Let us magnify the Lord together. This is the prayer of the Apostle Paul, and for us, Christ in you, the hope of glory. We must fill up what is behind the afflictions of Christ, for to live is Christ and to die is gain. May we work diligently to present every man perfect in Jesus Christ by the purifying power of the Holy Spirit. Therefore, let us walk outside the camp bearing His reproach so that Christ may be magnified in our bodies by life or by death.

  • #What is it then? I will pray with the spirit, and I will pray with the understanding also: I will sing with the spirit, and I will sing with the understanding also. 1 Corinthians 14:15  Pray with the spirit and understanding, and sing with the spirit also

The Greek word for pray is Proseuchomai, meaning to supplicate to God with thanksgiving. Even so ye, forasmuch as ye are zealous of spiritual gifts, seek that ye may excel to the edifying of the Church. Jesus gave us these spiritual gifts for the edifying of the body of Christ. Let us pray with the spirit and understanding, and sing with the spirit of understanding also. Wherefore let him that speaketh in an unknown tongue pray that he may interpret. For if I pray in an unknown tongue, my spirit prayeth, but my understanding is unfruitful. Therefore, pray in the spirit for understanding, and sing in the spirit also, so that it can be interpreted and fruitful to the body of Christ. Else when thou shalt bless with the spirit, how shall He that occupieth the room of the unlearned say Amen at thy giving of thanks, seeing he understandeth not what thou sayest? All prayer must be done with supplication and thanksgiving to God, so an interpretation must be given, so that others who are unlearned may say Amen and give thanks to God.

Pray with the spirit and understanding, and sing with the spirit also, for let everything that has breath praise the Lord. That is what we are here to do to the glory of God. For God must be praised in everything that we do, cause He will not share His glory with any man. Therefore, in everything give thanks, for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus our Lord. Let the word of God dwell in you with all fullness and supplication so that we can sing His praises wherever He sends us. We are about to go into the Holiday Season, so let our supplication be to God in the spirit of understanding and singing with joy in our hearts. Pray to God to create in me a clean heart, and renew a stedfast spirit in me. Leave a legacy of thanksgiving to God for others to emulate as well.

  • #For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night. 1 Thessalonians 5:2  Keep watching and praying

The Greek word for night is Nux, meaning midnight, that the night should want a third part of the light which the moon and the stars give it. But of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you. For when they shall say, Peace and safety, then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape. But ye brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief. Ye are all the children of the light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness.

Keep watching and praying, for the day of the Lord shall come as a thief in the night. Jesus warned that at the midnight hour, five virgins were waiting, and taken, while the other five were left behind. Make sure there is oil in your lamps, and when the trumpet sounds, you will be ready as the five wise virgins were with their oil in their lamps. The world will be saying peace and safety, then sudden destruction shall come upon them all. Therefore, watch and pray that you enter not into temptation, for the spirit is willing but the flesh is weak. God is light, and there is no darkness at all in Him. We are children of the day, so be ye also ready, for at an hour when ye think not the Lord will come, as there will be signs in the moon, and the stars. They reflect the light of the sun, so it is with us; we must reflect the light of the Son of God in righteousness. For Jesus will come quickly, and His reward is with Him. So keep watching and praying to the Lord to keep you ready at all times, with oil in your lamps.
