A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold is as pictures of silver.(Prov.25:11) It is so important to speak the right words to people at the right time to produce the right results. When you think of apples of gold in pictures of silver, then you are thinking of wealth and excellence. When we speak wisdom into the lives of others we are making them wealthy. Therefore we must seek God for He is the source of all wisdom and He will give us just the right words needed at the right time.

#Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another; and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching. Hebrews 10:25 Provoke one another to love and good works
The Greek word for exhorting is Parakaleo, meaning to call near, and encourage or admonish. Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water. Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for He is faithful that promised) And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works. For if we sin willfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins. But a certain fearful looking for judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries. He that despised Moses' law died without mercy under two or three witnesses:
Provoke one another to love and good works. This is the Greek word Agape, for unconditional love for our brothers and sisters, and praying for our enemies to accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. This is why we must get on one another's nerves about assembling together and encouraging one another. It is so easy for us to become discouraged with all the bad news, so let us encourage one another with the good news of the death, burial, and resurrection of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. We do not know who wrote the epistle to the Hebrews, but it has all the earmarks of the apostle Paul, and he wrote 1 Corinthians 13, the love chapter, telling us that love bears all things, believes all things, and keeps no record of wrongs; love never fails. This is the encouragement we need to keep us faithful to our Lord, and exhorting one another as we see the day of Christ approaching. We are getting close to Valentine's Day, so you will be hearing a lot about love. Agape, Pheleo, and Eros, and all of these are good in marriage, so let us encourage our spouses to render due benevolence to one another in the Lord. Marriage is under attack, and Satan wants to destroy it because it glorifies the Lord Jesus Christ. So come together and do not be like those who forsake the assembling together. May the Lord bless all of you in these perilous days that we are living in.
#But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway. 1 Corinthians 9:27 Paul beat his body under subjection to prevent being a castaway.
The Greek word for subjection is Doulagogeo, meaning to be a slave driver. To subdue. Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run, that ye may obtain. And every man that striveth for the mastery is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a corruptible crown, but we have an incorruptible one. I therefore run, not as uncertainly, so fight I, not as one that beateth the air.
Paul beat his body under subjection to prevent being a castaway. That word subjection means to be a slave driver. Paul was a sports analyst, as he liked to watch the Olympic Games, and he could see how hard they had to train to win the prize. They did it to win a corruptible one, while we win an incorruptible one. Therefore, we must run to win. Preaching to others is serious, as we are an epistle to all men, to one we are the aroma of life, and to the other an aroma of death. So do not become a castaway by not preaching the whole gospel to the people. For we must all stand before the Bema Seat of Christ to answer for the things done in the body, and this is where we receive our incorruptible crowns if we run well. So run not as beating the air. For that would be in vain. Subdue your body and discipline it to keep the mastery that is necessary to win the race. We want to hear the Lord say Well done, thou good and faithful servant, enter thou into the joy of the Lord.
#Behold therefore the goodness and severity of God: on them which fell, severity; but toward thee, goodness, if thou continue in His goodness: otherwise thou also shalt be cut off. Romans 11:22 It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the Lord.
The Greek word for severity is Apotomia, meaning decisiveness, i.e., rigor. Thou will say then, the branches were broken off, that I might be grafted in. Well, because of unbelief, they were broken off, and thou standest by faith. Be not high-minded, but fear. For if God spared not the natural branches, take heed lest He also spare not thee. And they also, if they abide not still in unbelief, shall be grafted in: for God is able to graft them in again. For if thou wert cut out of the olive tree which is wild by nature, and wert grafted contrary to nature into a good olive tree: how much more shall these, which be the natural branches, be grafted into their own olive tree? For I would not have brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in.
It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the Lord. Blindness in part has happened to Israel, until the fullness of the Gentiles comes in. We are the wild olive branch that has been engrafted in by faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. Beware of the rigor then, that the branches were broken off, that I might be grafted in. It is because of the goodness of the Lord that the Gentiles are grafted in by faith, but be not high-minded, but fear. For if God spared not the natural branches, take heed lest He also spare not thee. Do not provoke God to wrath, for our God is a consuming fire. Thank God that His mercies are new every morning, for great is thine faithfulness unto thee. Let us pray for the peace of Jerusalem, for they shall prosper that do so.
#For the love of money is the root of all evil: which, while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows. 1 Timothy 6:10 Why do you covet that which cannot save you?
The Greek word for money is Philarguria, meaning avarice. For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out. And having food and clothing let us be therefore content. But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition. But thou, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, and meekness. Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses. I give thee charge in the sight of God, who quickeneth all things, and before Christ Jesus, who before Pontius Pilate witnessed a good profession;
Why do you covet that which cannot save you? Beware of covetousness, for a man's life does not consist in the abundance of the things he possesses. It is ok to have riches, but do not let the riches have you. Paul is telling the young minister Timothy to guard his heart and follow after godliness, faith, love, patience, and meekness, and by doing so, fight the good fight of faith, laying hold on eternal life. For godliness with contentment is great gain. We brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can take nothing with us. How many people have left the faith because they loved money? But thou, O man of God, flee these things, for we will soon stand before the Lord Jesus Christ and give an account of our life, and our works. Jesus sent us into the vineyard for a penny a day, and said What is right, I will pay. Israel hath forsaken Jesus, the fountain of living water, for broken cisterns that cannot hold water. Jesus is the living water that springs up into eternal life. This is what we must seek, and not the things of this world. For all that is in the world is the lust of the eye, the lust of the flesh, and the pride of life, and all these things are passing away. But he that does the will of God shall abide for ever. May the Lord purge our hearts of covetousness and seek ye first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added unto thee. So do not covet money, so that you will not err from the faith, as many have done and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.
#Wilt thou set thine eyes upon that which is not? For riches certainly make themselves wings; they fly away as an eagle toward heaven. Proverbs 23:5 The Lord owns all the cattle on a thousand hills.
The Hebrew word for wings is Kanaph, meaning an edge or extremity. And put a knife to thy throat, if thou be a man given to appetite. Be not desirous of his dainties: for they are deceitful meat. Labor not to be rich: cease from thine own wisdom. Eat thou not the bread of him that hath an evil eye, neither desire thou his dainty meats: For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he: Eat and drink, saith he to thee; but his heart is not with thee. The morsel which thou hast eaten shall thou vomit up, and lose thy sweet words.
The Lord owns all the cattle on a thousand hills. Solomon was the wisest man to live, and he gave us good advice not to heap up riches, for certainly they make themselves wings, and fly away as an eagle toward heaven. If riches increase, set not thine eyes upon them. Delight thyself in the desires of thine heart. God will grant you those desires when your heart is pure. For blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see the Lord. The love of money is the root of all evil, and many have pierced their hearts with evil because of it. And he said, Who art thou? And she answered, I am Ruth, thine handmaid: spread therefore thy skirt over thine handmaid; for thou art a near kinsman. Ruth 3:9 This is an example of a great woman of God who was a widow and looked for the Lord to provide a near kinsman redeemer for her. God provided Boas, and he is a type of Christ, for he took Ruth as his beloved wife and redeemed all her property that she had lost. This is how we should be when we are rich, cause God will grant the desires of our hearts when we keep them on Him. Seek ye first the kingdom of God and its righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you.
#The next day, John sees Jesus coming unto him and saith, Behold the Lamb of God which taketh away the sin of the world. John 1:29
The Greek word for "lamb" is "amnos," which is also the name of the Lamb of God. John answered them, saying, I baptize with water; but there standeth one among you, whom ye know not; He it is who coming after me is preferred before me, whose shoe latchet I am not worthy to unloose. These things were done in Bethabara beyond Jordan, where John was baptizing. This is He of whom I said, after me cometh a man who is preferred before me, for he was before me. And I knew Him not; but that He should be made manifest in Israel, therefore am I come baptizing with water. And John bare record, saying, I saw the Spirit descending from heaven like a dove, and it abode upon Him.
God sent John the Baptist to bear witness to Jesus, that He indeed is the Christ. Behold the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world. Let us come to Jesus and accept Him as our Personal Savior, for He shall baptize us with the fire of the Holy Spirit. John was humbled by Jesus saying He is preferred before me, whose shoe latchet I am not worthy to unlose. Let us humble ourselves too, under the mighty hand of God, who shall exalt us. May we walk in the light as He is in the light, and the blood of Jesus shall cleanse us of all unrighteousness. My prayer is for you to accept Jesus, cause He came unto His own, and His own people received Him not, but to as many as believed on His name, to them gave He the right to become sons of God.
#Then Jesus said unto them, Yet a little while is the light with you. Walk while ye have the light, lest darkness come upon you: for he that walketh in darkness knoweth not whether he goeth. John 12:35 Walk while the light is with you
The Greek word for light is Phos, meaning Luminousness, to shine or make manifest. And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto Me. This He said, signifying what death He should die. The people answered Him, We have heard out of the law that Christ abideth forever; and how sayest thou, the Son of man must be lifted up? Who is this Son of man? While ye have light, believe in the light, that ye may be the children of light. These things spake Jesus, and departed and did hide Himself from them. But though He had done so many miracles before them, yet they believed not in Him: That the saying of Esaias the prophet might be fulfilled, which he spake, Lord who hath believed our report? And to whom hath the arm of the Lord been revealed?
Walk while the light is with you. Jesus said unto them, lest darkness come upon you. This passage reveals the truth about Jesus that He is the light of the world. Jesus said If I be lifted up, I will draw all men unto Me. As Moses said and lifted the serpent in the wilderness, so shall the Son of man be lifted up. The bronze serpent saved all the people who looked at it, and this was a picture of Jesus Christ being lifted up on the cross for our sins. God is light, and there is no darkness in Him. This is why Jesus was manifested to us to show us the Father. The Greeks look for wisdom, and the Jews look for a sign. Jesus said there shall be no sign save Jonas, who was swallowed by the whale, and buried three days. So shall the Son of man be lifted up on the cross, and after three days shall be raised again. So Isaiah said, 'Who has believed our report?' Jesus is the report, and the only way to come out of darkness is to believe that Jesus is the Christ. It is my prayer that you will walk in the light while the light is with you. May the Lord bless you richly, my beloved. Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved and thine house. The arm of the Lord has been revealed.
#It is of the LORD's mercies that we are not consumed, because His compassions fail not. Lamentations 3:22 The Lord's mercy never fails
The Hebrew word for mercies is Checed, meaning kindness, by implication toward God, piety. Remembering mine affliction and my misery, the wormwood and the gall. My soul hath them still in remembrance, and is humbled in me. This I recall to my mind, therefore have I hope. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness. The LORD is my portion, saith my soul; therefore will I hope in Him. The LORD is good unto them that wait for Him, to the soul that seeketh Him.
The Lord's mercy never fails. Jeremiah is remembering the mercies of the Lord, and His compassions never fail. That Hebrew word Checed, meaning kindness, is what guides us through all the trials of life. Therefore, the LORD is my portion, saith my soul. I will hope in Him. This is what we have to do, in our trials, and wait for Jehovah God to extend His hand of mercy towards us. It is because of the mercy of God that we are not consumed. So no matter what situation you find yourself facing, call upon the Lord, and He will hear you. When we do this, God shows us just how much He loves us, and we thank God for Jesus, our Mediator, who died upon the cross, and the wormwood and the gall He suffered for us. Let us call upon the Lord every morning because His mercies are new for us. It is my prayer that whatever you are facing, you will throw yourself upon the mercies of the Lord.
#I have seen the wicked in great power, and spreading himself like a green bay tree. Psalms 37:35 The wicked will soon be cut off
The Hebrew word for green bay tree is Ezrach, meaning a spontaneous growth, native tree, or person, in one's own country. The wicked watcheth the righteous, and seeketh to slay him. The LORD will not leave him in his hand, nor condemn him when he is judged. Wait on the LORD, and keep His way, and He shall exalt thee to inherit the land: when the wicked are cut off, thou shalt see it. Yet he passed away, and lo, he was not: yea, I sought him, but he could not be found. Mark the perfect man, and behold the upright: for the end of that man is peace. But the transgressors shall be destroyed together: the end of the wicked shall be cut off.
The wicked will soon be cut off. Wait on the Lord, for He will not leave the righteous in his hand, nor condemn him when he is judged. Hitler was once in great power, but he is no more, and all of his wickedness was destroyed with him. Do not fret when the wicked are in power; just pray for them, and the Lord will turn their hearts where they should go. I pray for the President and that God will use him to accomplish His will in the land. Leaders are like grasshoppers, who appear for a while, and then hop away. Wait on the Lord and keep His way, and He shall exalt thee to inherit the land. See how the perfect man lives, and behold the upright: for the end of that man is peace. God will reward the righteous, and we do not always see them in this life, but in the world to come we will. Seek ye first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added unto you. But transgressors shall be destroyed together, and the wicked shall be cut off. The judgment against an evil work is not speedily punished, which is why the wicked commit evil. Yet God places them on a banana peel, and they have one foot in the grave and the other on a banana peel. So just wait on the Lord and be of good courage, and He will see you through these trials.
#And when He and saw a fig tree in the way, He came to it, and found nothing thereon, but leaves only, and said unto it, Let no fruit grow on thee henceforward forever. And presently the fig tree withered away. Matthew 21:19 The fig tree speaks of Israel
The Greek word for fig tree is Suke, meaning a fig tree root. And said unto him, Hearest thou what these say? And Jesus said unto them, Yea have ye never read, Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings thou hast perfected praise? And He left them, and went out of the city into Bethany; and He lodged there. Now the morning as He entered into the city, He was hungry. And when the disciples saw it, they marvelled, saying How soon is the fig tree withered away! Jesus answered and said unto them, Verily I say unto you, if ye have faith, and doubt not, ye shall not only do this which is done to the fig tree, but also if ye shall say unto this mountain be thou removed, and be cast into the sea; it shall be done. And all things whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing ye shall receive.
The fig tree speaks of Israel, and they have rejected Jesus as the Messiah, and are cursed as the fig tree that bears no fruit. We must be like the babes and sucklings that have perfected praise. Israel is withered away, like the fig tree. We must have faith in God, and if we do, we can say unto the mountain, Be removed into the sea, and it shall be done. If we ask anything according to His will in prayer, it shall be answered.
