Welcome to Ning

A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold is as pictures of silver.(Prov.25:11) It is so important to speak the right words to people at the right time to produce the right results. When you think of apples of gold in pictures of silver, then you are thinking of wealth and excellence. When we speak wisdom into the lives of others we are making them wealthy. Therefore we must seek God for He is the source of all wisdom and He will give us just the right words needed at the right time.

  • #But my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:19. Wait only upon God

For even in Thessalonica ye sent once and again unto my necessity. Not because I desire a gift, but I desire fruit that may abound to your account. But I have all, and abound. I am full, having received of Apaphraditus the things which were sent from thee. an odor of a sweet smell, a sacrifice acceptable, well-pleasing to God. Now unto God our Father be glory forever and ever. Amen. Salute every saint in Christ Jesus. The brethren which are with me greet you. All the saints salute you; chiefly they that are of Caesar's household. The Greek word for riches is Ploutos, meaning wealth.

Wait only upon God. We often fail to wait on the Lord for the blessing that He has in store for us. Paul learned the secret of this by being abased and abounding to the glory of God. The church in Thessalonica sent once and again unto his necessity, and I thank God that He has done the same for me. My yard man cut the grass on credit, and I received money back that was loaned out after forgiving the debt. Always wait patiently on the Lord, and in due season He will reward you for your patience. Job waited upon the Lord by saying He knows the way I shall go and when I come forth I will be as pure gold. We are told many are the afflictions of the righteous, and out of them all the Lord delivers us. The truck that I won was wrecked, and I will get a new truck. I thank the Lord, for great is His faithfulness.

  • #And they stoned Stephen, calling upon God and saying, Lord Jesus, receive my spirit. Acts 7:59. Stephen was the first martyr of the Church

And said, Behold, I see the heavens opened, and the Son of man standing on the right hand of God. Then they cried out with a loud voice, and stopped their ears and ran upon him with one accord. And cast him out of the city. And stoned him, and the witnesses laid down their clothes at a young man's feet, whose name was Saul. And he kneeled down and cried with a loud voice, Lord, lay not this sin to their charge. And when he had said this, he fell asleep. The Greek word for stoned is Lithoboleo, meaning to throw stones.

Stephen was the first martyr of the Church, and Saul, who would become the apostle Paul, was one of the witnesses who laid down their clothes at a young man's feet. Thank God that Jesus stood up at the right hand of God to welcome Stephen into heaven. And Stephen said, Lord, lay not this sin to their charge. Just like the Lord Jesus on the cross said, Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do, and Jesus said, Into thy hands I commend My Spirit. We no longer have to fear death, for it is as we are falling asleep on earth and waking up in heaven at the feet of Jesus.

  • #Because the sentence against an evil work is not executed speedily, therefore the heart of sons of men is fully set in them to do evil. Ecclesiastes 8:11 Be not deceived: God is not mocked whatsoever a man sows, that shall he reap

There is no man that hath power over the spirit to retain the spirit, neither hath he power in the day of death, and there is no discharge in that war, neither shall wickedness deliver those that are given to it. All this have I seen, and applied my heart unto every work that is done under the sun. There is a time wherein one man ruleth over another to his own hurt. And I saw the wicked buried who had come and gone from the place of the holy, and they were forgotten in the city where they had so done; this is also vanity. Though a sinner do evil a hundred times. And his days be prolonged, yet surely I know that it will be well with them that fear the God which fear before Him. But it shall not be well with the wicked. Neither shall he prolong his days which are as a shadow because he feareth not before God. There is a vanity which is done upon the earth; that there be just men, unto whom it happened according to the work of the wicked; again there be wicked men to whom it happens according to the work of the righteous. I said that this also is a vanity. The Hebrew word for execute is Asah, meaning to finish or to exercise fashion upon.

Be not deceived, God is not mocked; whatsoever a man sows that shall he reap. The judgment against an evil work is not speedily executed; therefore the heart of men is in them to do evil. Nevertheless, you will reap what you sowed, and you cannot pray for a crop failure. God will punish the evil doers. The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom . Therefore fear God, and depart from iniquity. For God shall bring every work into judgment.

  • #But the people who know not the law are cursed. John 7:49 Great peace have they that love thy law, and nothing shall offend them

The officers answered, never a man spoke like this man. Then answered them the Pharisees, are ye also deceived? Have any of the rulers of the Pharisees believed on Him? Nicodemus said unto them (he that came to Jesus by night, being one of them) Doth our law judge any man before it hears him, and knows what he doeth? They answered and said unto Him, Art thou also of Galilee? Search and look, for out of Galilee ariseth no prophet. The Greek word for cursed is Epikataratos, meaning accursed.

Great peace have they that love thy law, and nothing shall offend them. Forever is thy word settled in heaven. It is a blessed thing to know the word of God, but the people who know not the law are cursed. Blessed is the man that loves thy law, for he is like the tree planted by the rivers of water, and he is like the tree that blossoms. We must meditate on the word of God day and night, for he is like the tree planted by the rivers of water. I pray that you will delight yourself in the word of God. Nicodemus was the man who came to Jesus by night, and was told by Jesus that he must be born again. Nicodemus said How can I go into my mother's womb when I am old? Jesus said that which is flesh is flesh; you must be born of the Spirit. It is like the wind that blows; you can hear the sound of it, but you cannot tell from which it comes, and so is he that is born of the Spirit.

Great peace have they that love thy law, and nothing shall offend them. I pray that you will by childlike faith believe the word of God, and you will not be offended, and whatsoever you do will prosper. My estranged wife would always speak of this passage in the word of God, but she stopped talking about it, failed to keep it, and then she was easily offended. So remember, great peace have they that love thy law, and nothing shall offend them. Ignorance of the word of God is no excuse. Even a child can believe the word of God. Jesus warned us that except we have the faith of a child, we would not inherit the kingdom of God. So do not be like the people who know not the law, for they are cursed. Be at peace with all men, and follow holiness, for without holiness no one will see the Lord.

  • #Yea, a man may say thou hast faith, and I have works; show me thy faith without thy works, and I will show you my faith by my works. James 2:18: Faith without works is dead

If a brother or sister be naked and destitute of daily food, and one of you say unto them, depart, be in peace, be ye warmed, and filled, notwithstanding ye give them not those things which they need for the body, what doth it profit? Even so faith,  if it hath not works, is dead being alone. Thou believest that there is one God, thou doest well; the devils also believe. And tremble. But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead? Was not Abraham our father justified by works? When he had offered Isaac his son upon the altar? The Greek word for works is Ergon, meaning toil or an effort in an occupation.

Faith without works is dead. Paul and James seem to be at odds over this matter, but rather they complement one another. We are justified by our faith, and faith without works is dead. For we are His workmanship, created to do good works. Abraham is the father of faith, and he proved his faith when he offered Isaac, his only son, upon the altar to be slain, believing that God would raise him from the dead. We are saved by grace through faith, lest any man should boast, not of works. This verse seems to contradict, but rather it just says faith and works go together. Thou believest that there is one God; thou dost well; even the devils believe and tremble, but they are lost. Faith saves us when we place our faith in the finished work of Jesus Christ upon the cross for our sins.

  • #(To the chief Musician A Psalm of David) I waited patiently for the LORD; and He inclined unto me, and He heard my cry. Psalms 40:1

He brought me up also out of a horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my goings. And He hath put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God. Many shall see it and fear, and shall trust in the LORD. Blessed is the man that maketh the LORD his trust, and respected not the proud. nor such as turneth aside to lies. The Hebrew word for waited is Qavah, meaning to bind together and tarry.

King David learned the secret to waiting on the Lord. The Lord delivered him from a horrible pit, and out of a miry clay, and set his feet upon a rock. There was a song of praise in his mouth unto God, and many feared and trusted in Jehovah. Those that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength and mount up with wings as an eagle, and run and not faint, and walk and not be weary. We hate to wait, but it is the best thing that we can do, as God knows what is best for us, and has prepared us to receive those blessings at the appointed time. Just like Joseph had to wait in the prison for thirteen years before God appointed him to Prime Minister of Egypt. He could say they meant it for evil, but God meant it for good that many people could be saved. Genesis 50:20 Therefore, I will wait on the Lord as long as I live, and know that He is working all things together for my good, and His glory.

  • #He is only my rock and my salvation. He is my defence; I shall not be greatly moved. Psalms 62:2 The LORD is my rock

(To the chief Musician, to Jeduthun, a Psalm of David) Truly, my soul waited upon God; from Him cometh my salvation. How long will ye imagine mischief against a man? Ye shall be slain all of you. As a bowing wall shall be, and as a tottering fence. They only consult to cast Him down from His excellency. They delight in lies; they bless with their mouth, but they curse Selah inwardly. My soul waits thou only upon God, For my expectation is from Him. The Hebrew word for defence is Misgab, meaning an inaccessible place.

The LORD is my rock; in Him only is my salvation. He is my defence; I shall not be greatly moved. I will wait upon Jehovah God as long as I live. When the wicked, even my enemies, come against me, to eat up my flesh, they will stumble and fall. For the LORD is the strength of my life and my salvation. Come and see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living. Taste and see that the LORD is good, and worthy of all our praises. I was young, and I was old, not once have I seen the righteous forsaken or his seed begging bread.

  • #Peace I leave with you, My peace, I give unto you, not as the world giveth, give I unto you, Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. John 14:27 Jesus will keep you in perfect peace as long as you keep your mind stayed on Him.

He that loveth Me not keepeth not My sayings, and the word which ye hear is not mine, but My Father's which sent Me. These things have I spoken unto you, being yet present with you. But the Comfortor, which is the Holy Spirit whom the Father will send in My name, He shall teach you all things. And bring all things to your remembrance. whatsoever I said unto you. You have heard how I said unto you, I go away and come again unto you, If ye loved Me, ye would rejoice. Because I said I go unto the Father. For My Father is greater than I, and now I have told you before it comes to pass, that when it comes to pass ye would believe. Hereafter I will not talk much with thee, for the prince of this world cometh and hath nothing in Me. The Greek word for trouble is Tarasso, meaning to stir or agitate.

Jesus will keep you in perfect peace as long as you keep your mind stayed on Him. So let this mind be in you which was in Christ Jesus, who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God, who made Himself of no reputation and humbled Himself to death on the cross. Wherefore God hath highly exalted Him and given Him a name that is above all names, that at the name of Jesus every knee will bow, and every tongue confess that He is Lord to the glory of God. So wait for Him, for He is coming back to take us to heaven, to be with Him forever. Therefore, let not your heart be troubled or afraid.

  • #And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was evil continually. Genesis 6:5 The thoughts and imaginations of men were evil continually

That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair, and they took them wives of all that they chose. And the LORD said that my Spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh. Yet his days shall be one hundred and twenty years. There were giants in the earth in those days, and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children unto them, the same became mighty men of old, men of renown. And it repented the LORD that He had made man on the earth, and it grieved His heart. And the LORD said I will destroy man whom I have created, from the face of the earth, both man and beast, and creeping things, and the fowls of the air, for it repenteth Me that I have made them. But Noah found grace in the eyes of the LORD. The Hebrew word for imagination is Yetser, meaning a form or conception.

The thoughts and imaginations of men were continually evil. So it repenteth Jehovah God that He had created man and beast, but Noah found grace in the eyes of Jehovah God. So the problem was the sons of God, who were fallen angels, married the daughters of men and created giants on the earth. This is why violence filled the earth, and every imagination was evil continually. A man lived to be 120 years old, and the people were evil. Jesus said that before He comes again to establish His kingdom, it will be as it was in the days of Noah. We are living in those days, and so Jehovah God told Noah to build an ark to save his family, and it took him 120 years to do so. Then Noah took two of each kind of animal, male and female, into the ark. Then God held the door open to the ark for seven days, which is the number of completion, and after the seven days were over, God shut the door. Then it rained 40 days and nights, and the water rose 20 feet over the highest mountain, so that no flesh was saved. So Noah had three sons to replenish the earth. After the flood, Noah made a garden, and got drunk and was naked, and Ham looked upon his father's nakedness, but the other two brothers clothed their father. Ham and his descendants were cursed to become slaves. Jesus said Let the greatest of them be called a servant. Jesus died vicariously for us on the cross and was betrayed for thirty pieces of silver, the price of a slave. We learn a lot from Noah's flood, and how God placed a rainbow in the heavens to remind us that never again will God destroy man in this way. The next time it will be by fire.

  • #He maketh me to lie down in green pastures, He leadeth me beside the still waters. Psalms 23:2 The LORD is my Shepherd.

(A Psalm of David) The LORD is my Shepherd; I shall not want. He restoreth my soul, He leadeth me in the path of righteousness for His name's sake, Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for thou art with me, thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of my enemies. Thou anointest my head with oil, my cup runneth over, surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my Life, and I shall dwell in the house of the LORD forever. The Hebrew word for water is Mayim, meaning a spring.

The LORD is my Shepherd; this is the beloved Psalm of King David, who was a shepherd and understood what it was like to lead a flock of sheep. Thank the LORD; He leads in the path of righteousness for His name's sake. He restores my soul, and I shall not want. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for thou art with me, thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. The rod and staff are the word of God that comforts us in all our troubles, and thou preparest a table before me in the presence of my enemies, thou anointest my head with oil, my cup runneth over. The LORD promises never to leave us or to forsake us; He is with us always, even unto the end of the world. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life. We have these promises as an anchor for the soul, because it is impossible for God to lie. I shall dwell in the house of the LORD forever. Amen. When we have gone the last mile of the way, the LORD will lead us safely through the valley and shadow of death to our home in heaven. Let us praise the LORD, O my soul, and forget not any of His benefits, who restores my life and forgives all my iniquities.
