Welcome to Ning

A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold is as pictures of silver.(Prov.25:11) It is so important to speak the right words to people at the right time to produce the right results. When you think of apples of gold in pictures of silver, then you are thinking of wealth and excellence. When we speak wisdom into the lives of others we are making them wealthy. Therefore we must seek God for He is the source of all wisdom and He will give us just the right words needed at the right time.

  • #And she shall bring forth a Son, and thou shalt call His name Jesus: for He shall save His people from their sins. Matthew 1:21

The Hebrew name for Jesus is Jehoshua, for the Lord saves. Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise: When his mother Mary was espoused to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Ghost. Then Joseph, her husband, being a just man, and not willing to make her a public example, was minded to put her away privily. But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost. Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying, Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a Son, and they shall call His name Emmanuel, which is interpreted as God with us. Then Joseph, being raised from sleep, did as the angel of the Lord had bidden him and took unto him his wife.

The divorce that almost happened. Thank God He sent the angel of the Lord to come to Joseph in a dream. Praise God that Joseph obeyed the angel of the Lord and took her to be his wife, and did not go in unto her until she had delivered the Lord Jesus. God works in mysterious ways, and as the prophet Isaiah 7:14 had said, the virgin conceived and brought forth a Son, and his name is called Emmanuel, for God with us. Yes, God became a man and took upon Himself flesh and blood, so that He could die on the cross for our sins, and fulfill His name, Jehoshua saves. It is my prayer that you will accept Him as your Lord and Savior and be baptised into the family of God.

  • #For lo, as soon as the voice of thy salutation sounded in mine ears, the babe leaped in my womb for joy. Luke 1:44 John the Baptist leaped

The Greek word for leaped is Skirtao, meaning to jump, i.e., sympathetically move. And it came to pass that when Elisabeth heard the salutation of Mary, the babe leaped in her womb; and Elisabeth was filled with the Holy Ghost. And she spoke out with a loud voice, and said Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb. And whence is this to me, that the mother of my Lord should come to me? And blessed is she that believed: for there shall be a performance of those things which were told her from the Lord. And Mary said, My soul doth magnify the Lord, and my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Savior.

John the Baptist leaped. This is a sign from God that the babe was filled with the Holy Spirit in his mother's womb and would be the forerunner of the Lord Jesus Christ six months in advance. What a joy this was to Elisabeth, because she was old and stricken in years, and God was rewarding her for the faith she had in the Lord Jesus Christ. It was an honor that God would allow Mary, the mother of our Lord, to give the salutation. Without faith it is impossible to please God, for whosoever comes to God must believe that He is and a rewarder of those who diligently pursue Him. This Christmas, thank God for the faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, born to the Virgin Mary to be the Savior of the world. We can rejoice too, cause the Lord has come in the first Advent, and will come again in the second Advent to take us home to heaven to live with Him forever in the mansions in glory He is preparing for us. God is truly amazing in how He works all things together for our good; even the bad things that happen to us have a purpose in the will of God for our lives. He wants us to look just like Jesus, and we must, through many trials and tribulations, enter into that most blessed kingdom. So rejoice in the Lord, and again I say rejoice in the Lord this Christmas Season.  Remember Zachareush was dumb and mute until the baby John was born, because he did not believe the angel that told him Elisabeth would bear a son. Always be careful to entertain strangers, because God still sends angels to us to reveal His will for us in our lives.

  • #When they had heard the king, they departed and lo the star, which they saw in the east, went before them, till it came and stood over where the young child was. Matthew 2:9   When they saw the star, they rejoiced with exceeding great joy

The Greek word for star is Aster, meaning a star strown over the sky. And thou Bethlehem, in the land of Juda, art not the least among the princes of Juda: for out of thee shall come a Governor, that shall rule my people Israel. Then Herod, when he had privily called the wise men, instructed them diligently what time the star appeared. And he sent them to Bethlehem, and said, Go and search diligently for the young child, and when you have found him, bring word to me again, that I may come and worship Him also. When they saw the star, they rejoiced with exceeding great joy. And when they came into the house, they saw the young child with Mary, the mother, and fell and worshipped Him, and when they had opened their treasures, they presented Him gifts: gold, frankincense, and myrrh.

As we prepare to celebrate Christmas, we see where the tradition of giving gifts comes from. The Magi or wise men gave these three gifts to the baby Lord Jesus, who by now was about two years old, and being warned of God in a dream that they should not return to Herod, they departed into their own country another way. Herod wanted to kill the Child, and almighty God knew this, so this is why he gave the wise men the dream to go to their country another way. So pay attention to your dreams, because God still uses them to tell us secrets. I pray that this Season of giving will be a great one, and give the best gift that does not involve money, it is the gift of faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. So as we gather together, let us worship Him also as the wise men did, and tell of His amazing grace that saved me. Sing hymns and talk of the wonder of Christmas, that God became a man and dwelt among us. This is what the Lord demands of us: to do justice, love mercy, and walk humbly with thy God.

  • #But my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:19  Jesus is all we need

The Greek word for need is Chreia, meaning employment, i.e., an affair or distitution, business, lack of necessary.  For even in Thessalonica ye sent once and again unto my necessity. Not because I desire a gift, but I desire fruit that may abound to your account. But I have all, and abound: I am full, having received of Epaphroditus the things which were sent from you, and odour of a sweet smell, a sacrifice acceptable, wellpleasing to God. Now unto God and our Father be glory forever and ever, Amen. Salute every saint in Christ Jesus. The brethren who are with me greet you. All the saints salute you, chiefly they that are of Caesar's household.

Jesus is all we need. Many of us this Christmas Season are wishing for abundant bank accounts, but God allows our bank accounts to go negative to teach us that my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus. Our greatest need was to have our sins forgiven, and God sent His Son, born of a virgin, born under the law, to save those from the curse in the law. Jesus had an affair with the Father in eternity past, that I will go and redeem man from the curse of sin and death, as the Lamb of God, who takes away the sins of the world. Jesus is that indescribable gift that God has given us, and Jesus is all we need to be joyful this Christmas. So don't groan about the negative bank account, but praise God for our positive grace account in heaven. Jesus paid it all on Calvary, and all our sins have been blotted out. We are saved, justified, sanctified, and will soon be glorified when Jesus comes again to take us to heaven. Let not your hearts be troubled, ye believe in God, believe also in Jesus, for in the Father's house are many mansions, and if it were not so I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you, where I am, ye shall be also. Let us comfort one another with these words. Rejoice in the Lord always, and again I say rejoice.

  • #For unto us a child is born, unto us a Son is given, and the government shall be upon His shoulders, and His name shall be called wonderful, Counselor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. Isaiah 9:6 The Empire will be on His shoulders

The Hebrew word for government is Misrah, meaning the empire. Thou hast multiplied the nation, and not increased the joy: they joy before thee according to the joy in harvest, and as men rejoice when they divide the spoil. For thou hast broken the yoke of his burden, and the staff of his shoulder, the rod of his oppressor, as in the day of Midian. For every battle of the warrior is with confused noise, and garments rolled in blood; but this shall be with burning and fuel of fire. Of the increase of His government and peace, there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even forever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this. The Lord sent a word into Jacob, and it hath lighted upon Israel. And all the people shall know, even Ephraim and the inhabitant of Samaria, that say in the pride and stoutness of heart

The empire shall be upon His shoulders and peace without end. Praise God as we celebrate Christmas, let us look forward to that glorious day, when the Lord Jesus shall be ruling and reigning in Jerusalem, the Capital of the world, and justice will be from henceforth even forever. The poor and disabled will finally get justice from all those who have oppressed them and stolen their inheritance. Give unto the Lord the glory that is due unto His name. For righteousness shall flow as a mighty river, and the wicked will trouble me no more. I give the Lord all the praise and the honor, for He is the Lion of the tribe of Judah, and has taken back the title deed of this world from Satan, that old dragon the devil, that Adam gave it to. Weep and howl, you rich people who have defrauded the poor and disabled. For justice shall be done unto you who held back the wages of the workers who labored in your fields by fraud. The Lord loves a cheerful giver, so give unto the Lord the glory that is due His name.

  • #The people that walked in darkness have seen a great light, they that dwell in the land of the shadow of death, upon them a great light has shinned. Isaiah 9:2   Jesus is the light of the world

As we prepare to celebrate Christmas, we must remember that the world is walking in darkness, and a great light has shone upon them. Jesus is the light of the world, and He came as a babe in the manger to the Virgin Mary and Joseph, and we celebrate this great light that has come into the world. Now let us bear this light this season so that someone who is walking in darkness can see and come to that light. God is light, and there is no darkness in Him. So let your light shine, so that men can see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.

  • #For the seed shall be prosperous; the vine shall give her fruit, and the ground shall give her increase, and the heavens shall give their dew; and I will cause the remnant of this people to possess all these things. Zechariah 8:12  The Lord Jesus Christ is our inheritance

The Hebrew word for prosperous is Shalowm, meaning safe, welfare, i.e., health. prosperity, and peace. Thus saith the LORD of hosts: Let your hands be strong, ye that hear in these days these words by the mouth of the prophets, which were in the day of the foundation of the house of the LORD of hosts was laid, that the temple might be built. For before these days, there was no hire for man, nor any hire for beast; neither was there any peace to him that went out or came in because of the affliction: for I set all men every one against his neighbor. But now I will not be unto the residue of this people as in the former days, saith the LORD of hosts. And it shall come to pass, that as ye were a curse among the heathen, O house of Judah, and house of Israel; so will I save you, and ye shall be a blessing; fear not, but let your hands be strong. For thus saith the LORD of hosts: As I thought to punish you, when your fathers provoked me to wrath, saith the LORD of hosts, and I repented not: So again have I thought in these days to do well unto Jerusalem and to the house of Judah: fear ye not.

The Lord Jesus Christ is our inheritance, and as we celebrate Christmas, let us rejoice in the peace and prosperity that comes when we place our faith in Him, the Lion of the tribe of Judah. The first advent, He came as the Lamb of God, who takes away the sins of the world. So again have I thought in these days to do well unto Jerusalem and to the house of Judah. Fear ye not, for God has not given us the spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind. So rejoice in the Lord and His inheritance that He has given us eternal life in His name by the blood which He shed on Calvary. Now, Shalom, health, prosperity, and peace are our inheritance. Let us sing " Joy to the world, the Lord has come." All praise be to thee, O Lord most high from everlasting to everlasting. May we exalt your name forevermore. So let your hands be strong, ye that hear in these days these words of the prophets, which were in the day of the foundation of the house of the LORD of hosts was laid, that the temple might be built. Jesus said Upon this rock I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against her.

  • #But thou, Bethlehem Ephratah, though thou be little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of thee shall He come forth unto me that is to be ruler in Israel; whose goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting. Micah 5:2 O little town in Bethlehem

The Hebrew word for Ephratah is Ephraath, meaning fruitfulness. Ephrath, another name for Bethlehem, was also of an Israelitesh woman. Now gather thyself in troops, O daughter of troops: he hath laid siege against us: they shall smite the judge of Israel with a rod upon the cheek. Therefore, will he give them up, until the time that she which travaileth hath brought forth: then the remnant of his brethren shall return unto the children of Israel. And he shall stand and feed in the strength of the LORD, in the majesty of the name of the LORD his God; and they shall abide: for now shall He be great unto the ends of the earth. And this man shall be the peace, when the Assyrian shall come into our land; and when He shall tread in our palaces, then shall we raise against him seven shepherds, and eight principal men.

O little town in Bethlehem, is the Christmas Hymn that we get from this passage. Bethlehem Ephratah, though thou be little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of thee shall He come. Jesus will be born in Bethlehem, and Micah the prophet foretold this event so that Mary and Joseph would be in Bethlehem at the precise time for this to happen. The decree went out that all the world should be taxed. And Joseph, being of the lineage of the house of David, would have to travel to Bethlehem to pay their taxes. The providential will of Jehovah God is amazing, and we see it working to perfection here. Bethlehem was the smallest of towns, but it would have the humble ruler in Israel, whose goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting. What a Savior, that would be born in a manger, in Bethlehem, because there would be no room in the Inn for Him. Though this event had been prophesied to happen, no one was ready, except the shepherds, in the fields. Thank God for taxes, because had they not been demanded, our Lord would not have been born in that place.

  • #And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel. Genesis 3:15  The Savior will be born of a woman

    The Hebrew word for bruise is Shuwph, meaning to gape, i.e., snap at or break. And the LORD God said unto the woman, What is this that thou hast done? And the woman said, The serpent beguiled me, and I did eat. And the LORD said unto the serpent, Because thou hast done this thou art cursed above all cattle, and above every beast of the field; upon thy belly shalt thou go, and dust shalt thou eat all the days of thy life. Unto the woman He said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee. And unto Adam He said, because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree, of which I commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt not eat of it: cursed is the ground for thy sake; in sorrow thou shalt eat of it all the days of thy life. Thorns also and thistles shall it bring forth to thee; and thou shalt eat the herb of the field;

Christmas is about the Savior who will be born of a woman. Thus, the Virgin Mary was selected to be that woman, and because the serpent beguiled the woman, thou art cursed and between thy seed and her seed it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel. For this reason, today the serpent is afraid of man, and man seeks to bruise his head every opportunity given. This would be the reference to Jesus dying on the cross for the sins of all mankind. We are saved from hellfire when we accept Jesus Christ as our Personal Savior. Therefore, the Virgin Mary had to be of the seed of David, from which the Savior would be born, and be the King of kings, and Lord of Lords. Thank God that the curse between the seed of the serpent and the woman will be broken in the Kingdom of God, for then a child will play over the serpent's neck and not be bitten. So thank God for Christmas, for it is a time of gift-giving, and the greatest gift is to accept the Lord Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior.

  • #Therefore, the Lord Himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a Son, and shall call His name Immanuel. Isaiah 7:14  God is with us

The Hebrew word for Immanuel is Immanuwel, translated God with us. Ask thee a sign of the LORD thy God? Ask it either in the depth, or in the height above? But Ahaz said, I will not ask, neither will I tempt the LORD. And he said, Hear ye now, O house of David; Is it a small thing for you to weary men, but will ye weary my God? Butter and honey shall He eat, that He may know to refuse the evil and choose the good. For before the child shall know to refuse the evil, and choose the good, the land that thou abhorrest shall be forsaken of both her kings. The LORD shall bring upon thee, and upon thy father's house, days that have not come, from the day that Ephraim departed from Judah; even the king of Assyria.

God is with us. Isaiah the prophet foretold the coming of the Messiah 700 years before it happened. It was a dark time in the world's history, similar to the darkness we are experiencing today. God promised a virgin would conceive and bear a Son, and His name shall be called Immanuel. God would become a man, and in that hypostatic union, He would be very God, and very Man. We look back on this as the first Advent. I praise God for all His promises are yes, and we say Amen to His glory. That is why when God brought His Son into the world, the angels did sing glory to God in the highest, and peace on earth, and goodwill to all men on whom His favor stands. What a glorious day that was, and we look forward to the day when the Son of God will return a second time. The first Advent was to bring salvation by dying on the cross for our sins. The second Advent, He is coming to take vengeance on all those who obey not this gospel.
